The diagram shows the importance of nitrogen being used and converted by microbes in the
ecosystem. A lack of either nitrogen or microbes would be devastating to the world's food supply
Microbes, or microorganisms are small organisms essential to nutrient recycling in ecosystems as they act as decomposers. Because some microorganisms can fix nitrogen, they are a vital part of the nitrogen cycle. Recent studies indicate that airborne microbes may even play a role in precipitation and weather patterns.
There are literally thousands of microbes, each one unique in function and form. GeoMico harnesses the life-giving power of three main classes of microbes: bio-fertilizers and phytostimulators.
Bio-fertilizers are microbes which increase the amount of nutrients in the soil for example, nitrogen fixing bacteria. These microbes improve soil fertility and stimulate plant growth.
Phytostimulators are microbes which produce compounds such as vitamins and plant hormones, which improve plant health and increase crop yields.
